About Me

I am Niki, full time homeschooling mama of 2.

I was born in Hungary just sometime between the Chernobyl disaster and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Great times, free childhood amongst the dry cornfields and concrete blocks, metal playgrounds and smoking people hanging out of windows of 10 story buildings,12 years of ballet.

I was always intrigued by art in some way or another: weed and corn stem dolls became my barbies and I just swung on those metal chain swings. I loved drawing to start with, then I got into art history and loved it.

I was never fond of institutional education, but I did "well", as those people would say who want to tick boxes and see my worksheets. I did A levels in English and Art way before the time was due.

Then I went to an international uni in Szeged. I was signed up to do literature and grammar, philosophy and aesthetics (which I did a bit) but decided to visit the library more to feed my thirst of art and film ( and if you have been there, you may know what else).

And as you may have guessed, I left that too, before I could achieve that piece of paper of acknowledgement: yep, you ticked the boxes.

I am self taught all the way, I learn with experience and instincts. Through my children, through my interest, through you.

Because all my sessions are not only planned and prepped by topics I find engaging, they are based on children in general, and once I get to know you, I will work hard to fill your own needs.
