In this series I take you on a journey from Impressionism to Superflat in a hands-on and knowledge-filled way, while I teach you how to draw from line control through values, space and more.
I also share connections within movements and historic events, discover a wide range of artists and techniques.
We meet fortnightly with the "big kids" to talk about the ideas behind movements, artists and artworks, exploring the flow of art and how history shapes the man who makes art. Lots of hands-on work with inspirational life stories and techniques, while we work on their drawing skills, experimenting with a wide range of materials, tools and media.
A loud and messy series of workshops discovering drawing, processes, encouraging critical thinking, confidence and self expressions with a wide range of contemporary and modern artists.
A gentle range of workshops for neurodiverse children to open their eyes and minds on art movements, techniques and life stories.
Pop-Ups offer a 2 hour long parent-led, nurturing environment for children under 7 where families can learn about and lay a solid base for their art journey ahead.
For ages 7-16 I hold a 90 min structured session with multiple projects around a certain theme (life story, technique, movement or topic).
For under 7s:
- 30 mins vocal and kinesthetic warm up and guidance for parents for aims, goals and activities
-90 mins parent-led activities, artist inspirations and handwork to help parents lay a solid base for their children in their art journey ahead
For over 7s:
-2 hrs drop off session
-30 mins creative drawing invitations and warm up
-90 mins structured workshop
-Elements of drawing and inspiration from Michael Craig Martin's work
-Line control and drawing techniques in an animal portrait
-sessions cost £5 per child under 7, £10 per child 7 and over
